As any business manager or owner will tell you, business ain't always rosy! Sometimes the glossy strategic plans and positive "sales" fronts need to take a back seat. It may be that your finance database just crashed, your technology guru unexpectedly resigned, or for some reason no-one can access your retail website. It all happens. And we help when it does.
Of course, in happier situations, we get contacted by people with technology ideas that'll make their business better, like behind the scenes processes improvements or to implement sales strategies.
The first step is usually a chat about their business requirements. We are comfortable to put in place bi-lateral confidentiality agreements and often do, so that discussions can be frank and open.
Doing what we do is fun! And we even get paid for what we do. So here's how that bit works.
If we are called in to fix a web or technology problem, or build a website for a graphic designer we do so, on an hourly-rate basis. We can provide an estimate of time and cost, but sometimes it's just a matter of getting the job done.
For bigger jobs, like turning your idea for productivity improvements into a full-blown business application, then tell us exactly what you're after and we'll provide a quote.
If you come to us with a blank sheet and you'd like us to define and document a solution, we're good at that. Of course, the thinking and planning takes time and a fair swag of our strategic intellectual know-how. So, we need to agree on a Solution Preparation charge. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, we will tell you if the problem can be solved in a way other than you paying for new technology. And secondly, even if technology is the answer, we don't want you to feel compelled to pay us to build it.
